I do great with kids and would do well in any home. She does well with other dogs and enjoys sitting on the couch with you. She has good house manners and can't wait to find her forever home. Hazel's House started in October 2017 when a family member asked us to helped with a litter of kittens found in a barn. The organization has been operating since 2007. We accept dogs from overcrowded shelters in the Portland metropolitan area, as well as from California. Boo Hoo, Cindy Lou did not get a home for Christmas! We are not sure why, I am just gorgeous and huggable. Since I was found under a bridge, they really don't know my breed.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill dog/puppy rescue dedicated to saving homeless, abused, abandoned, neglected, or diseased/wounded dogs of any breed. We rescue dogs domestically from the Portland, Vancouver, Clark County, Riverside, CA and from Mexico. Animals in our rescue are in a safe shelter provided with nutrition, medical care, and love for however long it takes them to become healthy. We believe that dogs need to run, jump, and play in a healthy environment. We don’t keep our dogs in large indoor facilities all day long.
The more dogs we get adopted the more dogs we save from being euthanized. At PetBacker, we are all dog lovers ourselves, so we understand how stressful it can be to think about where your dog will stay when you need to go out of town. Dog boarding kennels might not always be a suitable option as they can often be far away, overcrowded, or unable to manage your dog’s individual needs. Because of neglect, like insufficient training or exercise or simply from being ignored, they seldom have a chance to show their true personalities, especially while sitting behind bars. Getting them out of the shelter environment, working with them to develop social skills, confidence, and trust, while showing and teaching respect, will give them the chance to shine.
